It is approximately 100km from Brisbane and is only a bit over and hours flight from Sydney and a little over 2 hours flight from Melbourne.  There is an airport located at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Daily flights from major Australian capital cities fly in and out of Maroochydore.

Mooloolaba is a popular holiday destination which lies right on the doorstep of some of the nicest surf beaches in the world.  Accommodation is readily available and ranges from caravan parks and backpackers hostels to the finest 5 star hotels and ocean frontage apartments.  There are plenty of restaurants to wine and dine at on the Sunshine Coast as well as specialty and department stores.

Water sports such as fishing, surfing and swimming are certainly the most popular activities on the coast.  The water is blue and warm, the sand is white and fine and the weather is for the most part, nothing short of magnificent.
