action in the world.
It is one the few places where marlin and other game fish may be
targeted throughout the year. |

The Sunshine Coast Game Fishing Club has taken out the GFAA
John O’Brien Trophy (highest point scoring tag and release club in
Australia) in seasons 97/98, 98/99, 99/00, 00/01, 01/02, 03/04 and 06/07.
During these years there were more billfish tagged and
released off the Sunshine Coast than in any other port in Australia. |

Target species include: blue marlin, black marlin, striped
marlin, sailfish, wahoo, tuna (yellowfin, northern bluefin, striped, kawa kawa),
mahi mahi (aka dolphin fish) and cobia. |

Fishing methods vary according to the time of the year we are
fishing. These include: trolling lures, dead baits and live baits,
switch-baiting
and saltwater fly. |

We use the finest fishing tackle including Shimano, Penn,
Accurate and Precision custom rods. |

Peak Billfish Seasons:
Our light tackle marlin and sailfish fishing may be
undertaken during any month of the year, however, it is does peak over
the warmer months (September-April).
Our heavy tackle blue and striped marlin season may be
undertaken during any month of the year, however, it does peak during
the months February-May.

Outside Edge trips
|
We offer full day charters aboard Outside Edge (34ft
Blackwatch game boat). Sorry, there are no half days. Extended
trips in the Cape Moreton area are available on request.
Outside Edge
is a superb light and heavy tackle game fishing machine and can charge
fish down very quickly. It is extremely manoeuvrable which makes it an
ideal platform to target fish on light line classes. Stand-up and
chair fishing options area available on this vessel.

All food and soft drinks/bottled water are supplied on
these trips. All you need to bring is a hat, sunscreen and camera. We
cater for both beginners and experienced anglers and recommend a maximum
of 5 angers to maximise your gamefishing experience.
We advise that you consult your pharmacist, prior to your
trip, if you are adversely affected (or believe you may be affected) by
motion sickness. |

Inside Edge
is a fast, sport fishing machine and will get you to the
grounds in the quickest time possible.
This vessel offers an affordable alternative for chasing these
magnificent marlin and sailfish. Stand-up light, medium and heavy
tackle fishing is available. |

We cater for beginners and experienced anglers and
recommend no more than 3 anglers to maximise your game fishing
experience.
Soft drinks/bottled water are supplied on these trips.
You will need to bring a packed lunch and some snacks for the day, along
with your hat, sunscreen and a camera if you like.
